A highly efficient in-boom or in-mast furling system controlled with just one joy stick. A one handed operation to control speed and direction of lift or drop. Full hoist or reefing with consummate ease and safety.
Designed as a fully integrated package to include the power pack, controls, industrial control system and all masts and booms ensuring that the electronic system is totally compatible with the spars and will withstand the rigors of constant use season after season. The “intelligent” electronics ensure the sail is not stressed or damaged, a controlled interface between skipper and sail.
The first F˛ in-boom system has been fitted on a Perini 46m that has undergone extensive testing and trials over the last six months. The carbon booms were manufactured at Formula’s specialist carbon spar facility in Montpellier. Final finishing and fitting of the electronic furling system has been carried out at Formula’s headquarters in Holland prior to installation on the yacht.
